Plain-language privacy
Privacy
You do not need an account to browse, post, react, remix, or report. Optional Google accounts provide a private submission history. UPSMemes never publishes account identities, profiles, or stable author names.
Accounts and anonymous posts
When you post while signed in, the submission is privately connected to your account so you can review its status or request removal. Public feeds and meme pages do not expose that connection. Authorized administrators may access account ownership only when needed for abuse, safety, or legal handling.
What we store
We store submitted media, captions, moderation records, reactions, reports, and a secure anonymous-session cookie used to reduce duplicate reactions. Optional accounts store the identity details Google provides, such as name, email address, and profile image. For abuse prevention, a one-way HMAC of the network address may be retained; raw IP addresses are not stored in the application database.
Private receipts
Guest submitters receive a secret receipt URL. Anyone with that URL can check, remove, or claim the submission into an account, so keep it private.
Account deletion
You can delete your account and choose whether to remove your submissions or leave them on the wall without an account connection. Account identity and private ownership links are deleted in either case.
Service providers
Vercel hosts the app; Neon stores application and account data; Google provides optional sign-in; Cloudflare stores and processes media and provides anti-bot checks; OpenAI may screen submitted text and representative media for policy violations. Service logs may be subject to their respective retention policies.
